Master’s Degrees
Those with an established career who want to take the next step in their profession should consider a Master’s degree from the College of Education. The College of Education offers a variety of degrees to help professionals with their career goals in education.
Admissions to Master’s Programs are handled by the offering department.
Graduates of the Master of Education in Teaching (MEdT) are qualified to apply for state licensure in elementary education, secondary education (i.e., English Language Arts, mathematics, science, social studies), or Native Hawaiian and Indigenous Education, K-12. Graduates of the Master of Education in Special Education (MEd) also qualify to apply for state licensure.
The other MEd and MS degree programs do NOT lead to teacher licensure, and are targeted to other professional development opportunities.
