The department of Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Science provides undergraduate and graduate degree programs and specializations in four primary areas. At the undergraduate level there are two degree programs:

A post-baccalaureate teaching certificate is also offered in Physical Education.

The graduate level offers three programs for a Master of Science and two tracks for a doctoral specialization in Kinesiology.

The Master of Science programs include: Physical Education, Adapted Physical Education, and Athletic Training (Entry-level, Post-professional), and Rehabilitation counseling.

The Master of Education degree is in Counseling and Guidance with a specialization in Rehabilitation Counseling.

At the doctoral level, the two tracks are in Adapted Physical Education and Sports Medicine/Exercise Science.

Careers

Career opportunities with a degree from KRS include teaching physical education, athletic training in athletic programs, youth physical activity programs, personal training, fitness, and allied health professions (e.g., physical therapy, medicine, etc) and rehabilitation counseling.
