With over 20 different degrees and certificates to choose from, including distance education options, the College of Education is your path to a future in education.
The College of Education offers multiple pathways to teaching licensure, preparation for administrative positions and other professional education careers. The College specifically strives to make its programs available to all Hawaiian islands via distance delivery - so an education credential is within reach of any state resident.
There are many pathways to a career in teaching including bachelor's degrees in Elementary Education (BEd), Secondary Education (BEd); Post Baccalaureate Certificates in Secondary Education or Special Education, and the Master of Education degrees in Teaching (MEdT) or Special Education (MEd SPED)**. **Important Note to Spring, Summer, and Fall 2010 Applicants: MEd in Special Education program will no longer result in teacher licensure. Read more about this change.
