COE Annual Productivity Data Report
The COE Annual Report serves as an important resource. Data provide insight into trends and form a foundation for future planning.
Excerpt from the Overview:
- Total enrollment for fall 2008 was 1,533, a slight decline from the previous year’s enrollment of 1,557.
- Sixty-eight percent of enrollment was at the graduate level, and 26 percent was at the undergraduate level (6 percent post-baccalaureate enrollment).
- Total number of degrees and certificates awarded in Academic Year (AY) 2008 was 643, more than in each of the four previous years.
- Three hundred and seventy graduate degrees were awarded, an 18 percent increase over AY 2007.
- Master’s degrees awarded reached a five-year high of 288.
- There were 378 teacher candidates recommended for initial teacher licensure in AY 2008, and 662 students who were pursuing teacher licensure in fall 2008.
- The number of doctoral students increased nearly 10 percent from fall 2007 to fall 2008 to 212.
- Total annual donations to the college in FY 2008 reached a new high at $1,082,672, an increase of more than $176,000 from the previous year.
- Scholarships totaling $167,000 were awarded to 82 students at approximately $2,000 each in FY 2008.
- Total research contracts and grants awarded exceeded $32 million in FY 2008.
- The value of the COe endowment portfolio was $5,405,170 as of FY 2008.
