Information for the MEd in Special Education, Autism Specialist emphasis (Statewide/Distance delivery)

What is Provided

  • $10,000 training stipend for EACH of two years
  • One time $300 stipend for textbooks
  • Specialized courses focusing on evidence-based practices for students with autism spectrum disorders
  • Field experiences across varied service delivery models

Traineeship Requirements

  • Commit to work in special education or related service position in the United States (or its jurisdictions) for 2 years for each year of tuition assistance
  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA or better
  • Enroll in required program courses (9-10 credits/semester)
  • Complete degree within 2 years

Program Eligibility

  • Bachelors Degree in any field.
  • Experience with individuals who have disabilities
  • Career and scholarship goals consistent with project area of emphasis
  • Citizen or national of U.S.
  • A complete & competitive program application

Mail this form directly to the Special Education Department at the same time you mail your application to the Graduate Division.
Application Deadline: March 1, 2009 (program begins July 2009)
