Joseph takes us on his journey as a LTEC student and #UHMCOEAmbassador to learn more about RISE 360:
As part of the LTEC department, it is important to stay on top of current tech trends and spaces for delivering instructional content. Fortunately, the program has a diverse community with members willing to share their insights into new tools. On Friday, November 8th, 2024, LTEC MEd student, Takuya Tamaki, offered a Rise 360 Hybrid Training.
Rise 360 is part of Articulate's e-learning development platform. The hands-on training provided an overview of how to create beautiful, fully responsive online training materials and courses. We utilized the 30 day free trial! One take away was seeing how the platform utilizes AI tools to create text and image content. In addition, I learned about the possibility to create website page content in one platform like Rise 360 and transfer it seamlessly to Lamaku (Brightspace) using SCORM. SCORM stands for Sharable Content Object Reference Model, a set of technical standards for eLearning software so that they can be used in other platforms. There are so many opportunities for creating innovative learning experiences!
