On March 3, 2017, more than 30 O'ahu UH Community College (CC) students came to the College of Education for a new event called "Visit COE Day". Hosted by the Office of Student Academic Services (OSAS), the event kicked off with an introduction to the college as well as to faculty members from various departments, followed by a university campus tour, which included the financial aid office, the transfer coordination center, and even a walkthrough on how to park in the parking structure. The event was created to increase connections with CC students interested in or planning on applying to the COE and was funded through a grant from the university’s Student Equity Excellence and Diversity (SEED) office.
