One of the most popular Education Week stories for the week of November 24, 2019 is Bringing the Joy of Read-Alouds to Middle School Students by Christina Torres. An eighth grade teacher at Punahou, Torres writes about the benefits and impact of her "read-along performance" teaching practice, which is based on a Curriculum Research & Development Group (CRDG) English program developed in the early 2000s by Jim and Cheryl Harstad (now retired).
