On April 26, 2018, the Office of Student Academic Services (OSAS) welcomed 20 Waipahu Middle School (WMS) students who achieved a 4.0 GPA. Their reward for their academic excellence was a visit to the college of their choice, and this group chose the UH Mānoa College of Education. During their tour, they observed and participated in an elementary education performing arts methods course and attended a presentation by OSAS Graduate Assistant LaJoya Shelly, Student Assistant Toni Oyama, and Graduate Intern Chaude Bonifacio. WMS students also received Be a Hero. Be a Teacher.
