Purpose:  The purpose of this fund is to assist students pursuing a degree in the College of Education (COE) at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa who are committed to teaching in Leeward Oahu (Ewa to Nanakuli/Waianae/Makaha). Funds shall be used for costs associated with attendance (e.g. tuition, books, fees, etc.).

Major:  any Residency:  HI Resident only Gender:  Any
Enrollment Status:  Any
Additional requirements: The prospective recipient should be pursuing teacher licensure at the College of Education and be a permanent resident of Hawaii. Preference given to students: 1) Residing in or originally from Leeward Oahu as self identified; 2) Enrolled in COE programs conducted in Leeward Oahu. Student must: 1) Agree to clinical placements in Leeward Oahu; 2) Committed to teaching in and improving education in Leeward Oahu; and 3) Profess a desire to improve self, the teaching profession, and commit to teach and serve the Leeward Oahu Community.
