CAMP+U Post Secondary PD for Faculty, Staff and Administrators on Inclusive Practices

Through funding by the UH Foundation, the Center on Disability Studies will offer an online, self-paced course, CAMP+U, this fall to University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa faculty, staff and administrators. This course aims to increase understanding, knowledge, and skill of accessible and inclusive course design, instructional delivery, assessment, and practices to create student sense of belonging to ensure postsecondary success. Optional professional learning community (PLC) sessions will provide facilitated discussion of topics on disability awareness, Universal Design for Learning, educational technology to support learner agency, strategies to build community, and sensory integration.

A Sensory Workshop will be held on September 26th (Thursday) from 12:00-12:45 pm at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa’s Office of Faculty Development and Academic Support where faculty, staff and administrators can experience the 13 item Mobile Sensory Room that will be available throughout the semester for faculty led visitation.
