The COE Office of Student Academic Services (OSAS) designed a student survey about life during the pandemic. With the idea to check in on our students from Dr. Kimo Cashman and help from Monica Stitt-Bergh of the Assessment and Curriculum Support Center, the resulting Fall 2020 survey was created.

The largest percentage of students indicated that they have been negatively impacted mentally, physically, and financially. Students were also asked how well supported they feel by UH Mānoa; what types of support and access to support they need; and what types of learning space and technology they have access to.

An ad-hoc committee in the COE Senate came together to assist OSAS in creating a slide deck infographic in order to share the results with the COE community. Built into the survey are important resources and ways to connect. This committee will also be conducting a similar survey for faculty and staff. Committee members includes: Alyssa Kapaona (committee chair and survey designer-administrator), Nezia Azmi (creator of survey infographics), Nicole “Coco” Reyes, Naomi Rombaoa Tanaka, and Paulette Yamada.
