The Uehiro Academy for Philosophy and Ethics in Education and the CALL Uehiro Program invite you to a symposium titled “Legacies & Futures of p4c Hawaiʻi.”
On March 26, Dr. Thomas E. Jackson, founder of the p4c Hawai‘i movement, will kick off the symposium with a keynote lecture. A pioneer of p4c in Hawaiʻi and a recipient of the 2021 Robert W. Clopton Award for Distinguished Community Service, he retired as the Director of the Uehiro Academy in 2025 after 38 years of service. UH President Wendy Hensel will deliver the welcome remarks.
On March 27, there will be presentations, inquiry, and discussion that celebrate the legacy of Dr. Jackson and share the current and future vision for the UH Mānoa Uehiro Academy.
