Director’s Corner
Dr. Meghan Miller
Director, Center on Disability Studies
As we reflect on another successful PacRim Conference, I am filled with gratitude for the many individuals who came together to learn, share, and strengthen our collective commitment to advancing inclusion and improving the lives of people with disabilities across Hawaiʻi, the Pacific, and beyond.
This year’s conference was a powerful reminder that meaningful change happens through connection—those “unbreakable threads.” Whether presenting innovative research, sharing lived experiences, building new partnerships, or reconnecting with longtime colleagues, all in attendance contributed to the spirit of collaboration that defines PacRim.
On behalf of the Center on Disability Studies and the Hawaiʻi University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD), mahalo to our presenters, attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, planning committee, and staff whose dedication made this event possible. The conversations and relationships built during the conference will continue to inspire our work in the months ahead.
We look forward to carrying this momentum forward as we continue working together to build more inclusive communities through research, education, service, and partnership.
