PACMED

On December 9, 2022, fifty College of Education Master of Education in Curriculum Studies with Pacific STEM Focus Degree Program (PACMED) candidates and two Learning Design and Technology (LTEC) doctoral candidates graduated in American Sāmoa. Senior Advisor to the Provost Wendy Pearson was among the guests along with PACMED Directors Deborah Zuercher and Ivy Yeung. The Honorable Lemanu Peleti Mauga, Governor of Sāmoa, gave the keynote address. Among the graduates were Sabrina Suluai-Mahuka and Laura Laolagi who both earned a PhD in LTEC. Suluai-Mahuka is the 2021 American Sāmoa Territorial Teacher of the Year, and Laolagi serves as co-director and instructor in the COE American Sāmoa Bachelor Degree Program.
