Dr. Scott Miller, the Coordinator of Student Support and Guidance at a public school district in Fresno, CA, will be our speaker. We will explore the Third Culture Kids (TCKs)—a unique group of students who experience international mobility during their developmental years and attend International Schools offering international curricula and catering to expatriate families. Despite their growing numbers, research shows significant gaps in the support systems for TCKs during their transitions. This talk will focus on a case study of an exemplary transition program at an international school in South America, highlighting how effective support can be developed, implemented, and aligned with the needs of TCKs.
