Join us for the EDEF Monthly Talk : “Decolonizing Study Away to Hawaiʻi“

Friday, March 28th, 2025, from 4:30 – 6:00 PM in Wist 233.

Dr. Allison Yap, Faculty Specialist in Office of Global Engagement at University of Hawaiʻi at Manoa, will be our speaker.

Join us to expand our understanding of student mobility programming beyond study abroad or education in favor of study away. Highlighting one such program, National Student Exchange (NSE), Dr. Allison Yap explored the experiences of students from the continental U.S. who studied at UHM. Applying a critical analysis, she argued for the need to encourage and support ongoing efforts at decolonization, both in the field of study away and in Hawaiʻi.
