Join us for the EDEF Monthly Talk : “How to Publish Academic Papers as a Graduate Student”

Presented by Dr. Brent Edwards, Professor and Chair of the Department of Educational Foundations.
This talk discusses strategies for using course papers, conference presentations, small-scale research projects, and graduate theses and dissertations as the basis for academic publications such as journal articles and book chapters. Topics addressed include: how conceptualize academic papers; options for where to publish; the submission, feedback, and revision process; how to respond to reviewers; what to do when you get rejected; benefits of articles vs. book chapters; and recommendations for creating a public profile to share your work.
