Kaleialoha was born in Wailuku, Maui, and raised on Molokaʻi and Hawaiʻi Island. She has lived in Honolulu since 2013 and currently serves as the Coordinator of the Hulili Ke Kukui Hawaiian Center at Honolulu Community College. Her previous work experience includes college advising, research and evaluation, grant management, and Native Hawaiian education programs.
Research Interests
Kaleialoha’s research interests include Native Hawaiian and indigenous education, STEM education, and critical race theory. Her dissertation is focused on Hawaiian culture and place-based student support strategies for Native Hawaiian students pursuing STEM fields.
