How to Apply Instructions
Deadlines
The program will be offered contingent upon sufficient enrollment.
New cohorts start only in Fall semesters. Application deadlines are as follows:
- International Students: January 5 (refer to the International Admission Process for detailed information)
- February 1: Priority Deadline
- March 1: Final Deadline

- Program: Select your specific track:
- BEd, Early Childhood Care Education
- BEd, Elementary Education
- BEd, Early Childhood & Early Childhood SPED (Not enrolling until Fall 2026)
- BEd, Elementary Education & Multilingual Learning
- BEd, Exceptional Students & Elementary Education
- BEd, Elementary/Hawaiian Language Immersion
- Semester: Fall (Year)
- Delivery Option: The format will automatically be selected for you given the track you choose. However, those pursuing the BEd, Elementary Education track may choose their preferred format option:
- Select Manoa Campus for face-to-face program, OR
- Select Statewide for hybrid (face-to-face AND online) program
Follow the instructions and prompts on COE Makalei. Once you begin your application, more detailed information, including tips & tricks for completing the application will be emailed to you.
Apply for UH Mānoa Admissions:
If you are not already a student at UH Mānoa, you must also complete the UH Mānoa Admissions application (currently enrolled UHM students can skip this step): https://manoa.hawaii.edu/admissions/apply/

- Application fee: The application fee is now waived for Hawai‘i residents. Non-residents will pay $70.
Transcripts
Official transcripts must be submitted directly from your college or university to UH Mānoa. You are required to submit transcripts from each post-secondary institution you have attended (excluding any University of Hawaiʻi System institution). Unofficial, faxed, hand-carried, or student copies of academic documents will not be accepted.
