Students will research and apply their knowledge and skills to create a proposal, floor plan, and model. The math they will use includes (but is not limited to): applying ratios and proportionality, calculating area, calculating perimeter, calculating surface area, calculating volume, and projecting cost. To close the projects students will engage in a Socratic Seminar discussion what they have learned from their research, the discussion does not have to focus on the mathematics the students used in their project.
