Event Details
The Kākau Mea Nui 2.0: Writing Matters project at the Center on Disability Studies is excited to announce a special event celebrating Hawaiʻi DOE student creativity and achievement. As a bridge to oral language, students were invited to interview kūpuna to learn more about them and all of the cultures that make up our Hawaiian home. Students then used these interviews to create collaborative short digital films. Through a partnership with the Capitol Modern Museum (Honolulu State Museum), the collaborative digital storytelling projects created by students supported by the program will be showcased at the museum for one month from January 27th to February 28th, 2025.
Please come celebrate with us and support these talented young creators! Kick-off event for the showcase is Monday January 27th, 2:00–4:00 p.m.
