
COE faculty members and teacher candidates attended the Spring 2025 Association of Teacher Educators (ATE) Conference in New Orleans, LA from March 7–12, 2025. Leadership from the School of Teacher Education (STE) were awarded plaques of recognition for service with ATE and the teaching profession. There were also presentations by Master of Education in Teaching (MEdT) Cohort 69 students, faculty members across departments, and our partners from the Waipahu Complex. In addition to STE and MEdT, the college was represented by the Department of Special Education (SPED) and the Department of Learning Design and Technology (LTEC).
Founded in 1920, the Association of Teacher Educators (ATE) is the only national individual membership organization devoted to the improvement of teacher education for school and campus-based teacher educators. Membership includes nearly 1,500 teacher educators in colleges, universities, school districts, and state education agencies within 41 regional and state affiliated units and US Territories.
