Our Project
Based at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, Play Dojo is a neurodiversity-affirming social play program designed specifically for children with autism ages 4 to 13. Each semester, we host weekly 1.5-hour sessions over a 10-week period, utilizing our custom-built Social Play Curriculum and Social Play Strengths Profile to celebrate and build upon each child’s unique way of connecting. Our “dojo” environment transforms social learning into a joyful practice, providing a supportive space where neurodivergent keiki can build meaningful friendships and navigate social landscapes with confidence.
