Why did you choose to become a teacher, in general?

My baby brother was enrolled in a inclusion classroom and watching the difference it had made in both his and our lives sparked a drive in me and I wanted to do the same thing for other children with a disability or not.

Why did you choose to become licensed in special education?

I have been working in the special education department for the last 6 years now as an educational assistant and as the years go on I have learned how much of a difference I can make in the short amount of time.

Why do you feel it is important to have diversity in the classroom?

Diversity brings so much not only to the classroom, but to the community as well. Everyone brings something different without even realizing it, whether it be language or culture. Diversity expands our way of learning in the classroom and the world.
