Why did you choose to become a special education teacher?

Because I immediately felt a connection with students with disabilities when working with them and knew I could connect and help them in a way that not everyone can.

Why do you continue to teach special education?

I find joy in my job. I love finding ways to help the students reach their goals. Especially when the goals are adaptive skills, life skills, and make such a huge impact in their everyday lives.
