A class visit with students with moderate disabilities opened my eyes to the world of special education and it changed the trajectory of my career. This experience also set the foundation for my core belief that with appropriate support and instruction, all kids can learn.

Special Education

Dr. Linda Oshita is an Associate Specialist with the Special Education Department at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. She has served as a program advisor, course instructor, and practicum supervisor of preservice special education teachers for over twenty years. Her research interests include: issues in special education teacher preparation and advising, and supporting university students on study abroad programs.
