Why did you choose to become a teacher, in general?

I want to become a teacher because I want to make a difference in the lives of children with disabilities and to those without. I want to help them thrive and be successful in education and life.

Why did you choose to become licensed in special education?

Growing up I did have trouble learning while I was in school, but I had many teachers help me to get where I am today. So, I choose to become licensed in special education because I want to be that teacher to help children with disabilities or learning problems push through the challenges and become the best they can be.

Why do you feel it is important to have diversity in the classroom?

It is important for students to have diversity in the classroom, so they can respect, learn, and adapt to the things around them. For teachers, it is important because learn new ways of teaching to help the children learn new things/skills or improve what they already know.
