Why did you choose to become a teacher, in general?

Growing up as a student, I always wondered what it would be like on the other side, deciding/designing lessons for my own students. I was also always tutoring/helping peers when I was in elementary, middle, and and high school. Eventually, I decided to try to pursue teaching when I graduated high school, and haven’t turned back since.

Why did you choose to become licensed in special education?

In Pohnpei, where I am from, Special Education resources are extremely limited. As a family member of an individual who continues to need these resources in order to attend school, I feel strongly about expanding Pohnpei’s Special Education system.
