Why did you choose to become a teacher, in general?

After being in the school system, I noticed a need for teachers across all schools. Many times, educators from different parts of America would come to Molokai and it just wasn’t a good fit. By this I mean, many kids had a hard time building a foundation with someone completely foreign to Hawai’i, Molokai at that.

Why did you choose to become licensed in special education?

Teachers are far and few between and I am thankful to those who step up to fill positions. With that said, there are many who are not qualified for the position. The students that are tier 3 and tier 2 deserve a well-educated teacher who is exceptional at the job.
