Why did you choose to become a teacher, in general?

I love children. I love to be an inspiration to each student that passes through my life and one wonderful way to do this is to be an educator. I have been in education with ages prenatal – adult education. Teaching is a calling.

Why did you choose to become licensed in special education?

I am pursuing to add the field of Special Education because I believe in the inclusion classroom setting. A special education teacher can foster an inclusive environment by integrating students with learning disabilities into the classroom, educating other students about learning disabilities, and ensuring the needs of all students are met.
