Why did you choose to become a teacher, in general?
I want to make a difference in the world and what better way to do that than by helping educate future generations.
Why did you choose to become licensed in special education?
My experience as an RBT furthered my quest to become a SPED teacher
Why do you feel it is important to have diversity in the classroom?
Diversity in the classroom is great because it exposes teachers and students to people of all walks of life ie different cultures and abilities. Being exposed to diversity helps students and teachers see what the real world is like outside their little bubble. The world is full of people with different skin color, different abilities and different languages and being exposed to that in school helps them understand the world around them.
