The beginning of the curve: Mobile learning in Hawaii public schools
This research examined an impact of professional development on teachers at the early stage of their mobile learning adoption. Ten teachers participated in professional development courses titled “Mobile Apps in Education” offered by the Hawaii’s Department of Education in fall 2011. The results indicated that, despite the limited resources and support, all teachers showed increased commitment to integration of mobile applications in teaching and learning. Implications and future research directions will also be discussed.
