Jorge has worked for more than 25 years in the fields of education, health, the arts and the media. Jorge has a doctorate in international educational policy from the University of Maryland.
Jorge is currently an associate professor at the Faculty of Education of the Universidad de Los Andes where he directs an educational research center. Research interests include education for sustainable development, governance and educational change, art and media for social change. Jorge has extensive experience in Latin America designing and implementing education, communication, and social impact programs. His previous work experience includes co-founder of Mobilizarte (an NGO in Colombia that uses cinema and art to generate social impact), Director of Latin America for Sesame Street, Education Specialist at the Organization of American States (OAS), and Adjunct Professor at the George Washington University.
