Patricia Grillet is a Graduate Assistant in the College of Education at University of Hawaii (UH), currently developing a PhD in Education, with focus on Education Policy, Education in Emergency and International Comparative Studies. She holds a Masters’ Degree in Teaching and Learning Foreign Language from Universidad de Antioquia (UdeA), Colombia, where she also worked for eight years, researching on policy and evaluation issues, as well as teaching undergraduate courses. Her
Masters’ Degree thesis on the validity and authenticity of assessments within the classroom context was awarded with a Suma Cum Laude recognition. Her experience teaching and researching within the education context began in Caracas, at Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV), where she finished her Bachelors’ Degree as a translator and interpreter for English, Portuguese, and Spanish Languages. At UCV, Patricia developed an awarded final dissertation about the equivalence and accuracy of juridic texts translation, which allowed her to better understand the impact of research. Over the years, Patricia has worked a freelancer writer and translator, and has also added French to her working languages.
