Why did you choose to pursue to pursue MEd Curriculum Studies, STEMS² program?
I chose my program because it allows me to explore how education can bridge cultural knowledge with modern learning. The integration of STEM with place-based learning and indigenous perspectives is important to me, as it aligns with my values and aspirations for community impact. It offers a reflective approach that allows me to explore the interconnectedness of culture, environment, and education in meaningful ways.
Why did you want to be a Social Media Ambassador for your program?
I would like to be a social media ambassador for the University of Hawaiʻi to help showcase the unique educational experiences and sense of place that UH has to offer. Through my passion for STEMS² and storytelling, I hope to inspire others to engage with the community and programs in ways that highlight the university’s cultural and academic strengths.
Anything else you’d like to share?
I am the only caregiver to my 83 yr old father.
