I practice STEMS² in my daily teaching practices by incorporating student and community relevant education in my classroom. I also practice the STEMS² pillars of aʻo, makawalu, and advocacy on a daily basis as a mother of child with complex care needs and as a special education teacher. I am currently working on a co-written curriculum design to improve accessibility to learning journeys for all students.
