Description

We present an ethical framework – education for multispecies’ flourishing- that we have used with pre-service teacher candidates in a mathematics education course. We illustrate the framework which includes needs for survival, transcendence, belonging, dignity and challenge through a study of land, language, lore, living, logic and learning through several examples drawn from familial curriculum including Vietnamese Lunar New Year rice cakes, Financial literacy and kolam drawing.
