Description

This study, Agbiag ti Ilokano: Transforming Ilokano Teaching Through Comprehension-Based Communicative Language Teaching (CCLT), explores the application of CCLT strategies in Ilokano language instruction. Conducted by Jairah Mae Pascual, a master’s student in the Master of Education in Teaching Program at the University of Hawai‘i, the research aims to contribute to the discourse on language education enhancement. Through a series of three online audio-recorded interviews with an Ilokano instructor in Hawai‘i, the study examines teaching experiences and the impact of CCLT on classroom practices and curriculum design. The findings will offer valuable insights into improving Ilokano language learning.
