Presenter Guidelines
Congratulations on your acceptance as a presenter at the Graduate Student Research Symposium (GSRS ‘26) on April 25, 2026. Please review the information on this page for specific details on how to prepare for your poster or oral presentation.
Poster Presentations
Display your poster and discuss your project with people who stop by your table. This Poster Information and Guidelines has details on poster format, templates to use, sample posters from last year’s GSRS event, and information on how to print your poster.
- We recommend using the GSRS Poster Templates to prepare your poster. Download the templates from the Poster Information and Guidelines.
- Recommended size: 24 (l) x36 (w) poster with a 0.25 inch margin
- We will provide trifold display boards and clips at the symposium for your printed poster. The tri-fold display will fit 24×36 posters only. (If you print your poster at a different size or orientation, please bring your own posterboard for display)
Oral Presentations
Duration: Prepare to give a 15-minute oral presentation with 5 minutes for Q&A
- Bring your laptop/chromebook to hook up and use for your presentation.
- Have your presentation slides ready on your device.
- Practice your presentation prior to April 25 with a peer or family member. It is helpful to practice what you will say and time yourself to make sure you are able to address all your key points within 15 minutes.
