COE Graduate Students: Submit a proposal using the link below for the GSRS ‘26. The Symposium is a welcoming forum to share your work with and get feedback from peers, faculty, and family/community members. There is no registration cost for this symposium. The symposium is an opportunity to:
- Practice and develop proposal writing and conference presentation skills.
- Get constructive feedback from faculty mentors during the event.
- Add a professional conference presentation to CVs or resumes.
Proposals due by midnight on Sunday, March 15th, 2026.

Who can submit a proposal?
- All currently enrolled COE Masters and Doctoral students
- Recent Masters/Doctoral graduates (Summer/Fall 2025 grads)
What does a proposal include?
Proposals for oral and poster presentations are simple! Proposals require:
- Project Title (15 words or less)
- Summary/Overview of the Project (150 words or less).
View sample proposals from prior GSRS events.
All proposals will be accepted.
What sorts of projects can I present?
You can give an oral presentation or poster presentation about:
- Master’s Capstone (e.g., Plan B) or Doctoral projects (e.g., dissertation, pilot projects)
- Classroom Implementation projects & Action research projects
- Doctoral students: Share projects/papers you have developed for courses, such as literature reviews, conceptual papers, and sections of your proposals. You can share research ideas in development and get input and feedback
Works in Progress are welcome!
How long is an oral presentation or poster presentation session?
- PRESENTATION: Appx 20 minutes, with time for Q&A
- POSTER: Discuss your poster with those walking around during a 55-minute poster session. No specific time limit. Poster printing costs for a 24×36 poster are appx $30.
