Kaimanakalānōweo Namihira

Kaimanakalānōweo Namihira was born and raised in ʻAiea and Kuliʻouʻou, Oʻahu and currently calls Makiki his home. Heeding the words of King David Laʻamea Kalākaua, Kaimana aspires to contribute to the on-going mission of Hoʻoulu Lāhui, to expand the nation of Hawaiʻi. Kaimana is a product of the Hawaiʻi State Public School system as a proud graduate of ʻAiea High School and is a college graduate of Leeward Community College and the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa where earned an undergraduate degree in Hawaiian Studies in 2013. He has spent most of his teaching career as a Hawaiian Language and Hawaiian Studies elementary school teacher at ‘Aiea Elementary School and as a student support specialist at his alma mater of LCC. Kaimana hopes to continue his career in education as a curriculum developer and educator of indigenous education and research.
