Jason “Iāsona” Ellinwood received his B.A. from the Kawaihuelani Center for Hawaiian Language at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa in 2011 and will receive his M.A. from the same department in 2013, with a thesis focused on the election of King Lunalilo. Outside of academics, he is a regular contributor to Abstract Magazine, as well as an active member of Honolulu’s theatre community. He serves as a translator on the Kahua A‘o team, helping to incorporate newspapers and other Hawaiian language resources into the lessons.
