Abstract

Attracting and retaining dedicated, high-quality faculty is an essential component of every successful Professional Development School partnership. While these individuals may be housed at the University or within the Department of Education, each is an active contributing stakeholder to the school-university partnership. Finding the right people to take on the role of Next Gen Faculty can be a challenge but we have found that individuals with certain definable characteristics are most likely to be successful in this environment. This presentation will describe the characteristics of our current faculty and what characteristics we are looking for in our future hires.
