- BEd in Special Education
I chose to become licensed in special education because I was always around adults or children who had special needs. My mom wanted to become a special education teacher. However, she sadly did not become one but inspired me to stay true to myself and be change I want to see in the world. My part and in my heart, is to help individuals love their uniqueness.
After I graduate, I have signed a SPED stipend and will be working for the State of Hawai’i for three years. While I work for the State of Hawai’i, I will be researching Master and Graduate programs through UHM. As well as, researching Hawaiian certificate or degree programs through Honolulu Community College. When I am not working I want volunteer with Best Buddies, Humane Society, and nonprofit organization within the State of Hawaii. Once I am done with my stipend contract I will continue teaching and will pursue a Post Graduate Degree in Counseling. If I am physically unfit to stand or teach, I still hope to have a career that is helping others.
