Pathways

Be a Hero. Be a Teacher.

Created to inspire high school and college students as well as working professionals to consider a career in education, the Be a Hero. Be a Teacher. campaign highlights the benefits and rewards of being a teacher.

Under the leadership of UH Mānoa College of Education’s beloved late Ernest “Niki” Libarios, Jr., the campaign was developed by education faculty from UH’s four campuses, coordinated by the UH Office of Academic Planning and Policy, and produced by Kai Media. It features public service announcements and a slam poetry video written and performed by UH Hilo alumnus and Kamehameha Schools Dean of Studies, Clint Anderson.
