A new funding opportunity is available through a partnership between the Hawaii Department of Education and UH Manoa's Department of Special Education to fund candidates interested in becoming Licensed Behavior Analysts (LBAs).

This program is for students who are interested in pursuing certification in behavior analysis. The Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc.® has approved our course sequences as meeting the coursework requirements for eligibility to take the Board Certified Behavior Analyst Examination® or the Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst Examination®. Applicants will have to meet additional requirements to qualify.

Class Type, License, & Certification
ONLINE/HYBRID PROGRAM: Primarily online courses with up to two face-to-face meetings each semester. Online courses may include synchronous class sessions in the early evenings. Neighbor island candidates travel to Oahu on select Saturdays. Face-to-face meetings will include an option to meet online for candidates outside of the state.

|University Practicum (Optional)||UH Manoa is a BACB-approved university practicum provider for supervision towards the BCBA certificate. You must have begun the appropriate program to be enrolled in practicum supervision. Available to candidates on all Hawaii islands. All supervision requirements can be completed by enrolling in 2 credits of university practicum for 5 semesters (BCBA).|
