Dr. Ed H. Noh is the Executive Director of the Leadership Institute in the Hawaiʻi Department of Education. Dr. Noh received his Ed.D. in Professional Educational Practice from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. His dissertation was an oral history of his mentor who demonstrated transformational leadership through formal and informal modeling. Dr. Noh’s educational career spans from the classroom, to the principalship, to district and state positions. His research and professional interests are in leadership development, teacher and student empowerment, and issues concerning equity and access, recognizing that education can be the great equalizer of our time. Dr. Noh is a second-generation Korean American and a first-generation college graduate who thanks his parents for instilling the value of education.
