The Internet for example is a popular source of information, providing roughly 1.98 billion websites online (Djuraskovic, 2022). How did these ideas first come about and why is mathematics important in this context? Understanding the mathematics embedded in technology can help students see that they interact with mathematics a lot more than they thought. In fact, students are daily users and promoters of mathematics through technology in the form of smartphones. Also, what does it mean to be responsible users of technology and mathematics?
