Introduction to College Mathematics (ICM) is a course designed to help high school seniors prepare to be successful in a 100-level college math course by applying previously learned high school math concepts to real world situations. This lesson is from Unit 2: Numbers in the Real World, Lesson 2: Putting Numbers in Perspective. In this lesson, students will review very large and very small numbers using scientific and standard notation and then apply this to a real-world situation of real estate prices in our community of Oahu’s North Shore.
